Ontario Pork Goes Mobile

QR CodeTechnology is always changing and companies are looking for new ways to engage consumers. Ontario Pork is no exception and is hoping that its new mobile recipe site mobilerecipe.ontariopork.com will make it that much easier for consumers to purchase and prepare pork. Mobile websites are growing in popularity, as they are a quick and easy way for users to gather and/or find information. Generally these sites have a simple design, and do not contain many images, which make downloading easier. With this in mind, Ontario Pork's searchable recipe website is now also accessible from your smartphone - no computer required. Users will have a convenient method to conduct a general recipe search, or find a specific recipe, at any time - whether commuting to/from work, at the gym or the grocery store.

Check out the new mobile website, visit http://mobilerecipe.ontariopork.com/ or use the QR code which links to the site.

Ontario Pork Blog

Ontario Pork has developed a consumer blog - a diary-type commentary that links to articles and other websites. The blog is now available on the Ontario Pork website, under the consumer tab on the left side navigation bar - http://porkisyummy.wordpress.com/

The purpose of the blog is to inform readers about health, nutrition and food safety related issues, as well as provide information on current issues. In addition, misconceptions will be cleared up about agriculture and meat production in Ontario and recipes will also be promoted from time to time.
